Because the Miller School of Medicine has great educational resources and opportunities. Studying here is a good option to learn many great things.
Since completing my master's degree, I started to work as a research analyst with Dr. Lily Wang on DNA methylation research. My daily work is about reading study related papers, discuss our aim and procedure then work on it by processing and analyzing data using language like SAS and R, including developing our own R package and related pipeline.
I was a research assistant before, when I graduated, Dr. Lily Wang asked me if I want to work with her because she thinks I have good programming skills and good grades in statistics class.
During the program, we practiced statistics and programming.
Seeing others using the software we develop.
Working on areas like artificial intelligence.
It’s never too late to learn programming.
