Program: MPH
Graduation Year: 2018
Employer: University of Miami
Job Title: Research Associate II
I wanted to study and learn information so I can educate my community so its citizens can improve their livelihood.
I chose the University of Miami because it’s located in a diverse city with plenty of unique opportunities.
Since completing my master's degree, I am now a Research Associate II in the Physical Medicine and Rehab Department at the University of Miami. I manage data for the South Florida Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems.
A colleague of mine in the MPH program was leaving this position and referred me to the PI of this study.
My master's degree prepared me for my current position by granting me access to resources that promote academic and professional growth.
I like that I still have the opportunity to work in my office as well interact with participants of our studies.
Become a Data Analyst for a major agency.
Please try to connect and communicate with as many people as possible from different backgrounds (education and professional). Also, try to get involved in a lot of clubs and organizations within the program and Miami.
