It was perfect my research interests (prevention of NCD's in diverse Black populations)
The comprehensive classes the program offers.
I am one of the only people in family without an NCD, and it drives me to work to find better prevention, control, and mitigation strategies.
The gym on campus is conveniently right next to the DPHS classes and supports my health and wellness needs.
I wanted to get to know more about UM and let people who are interested in UM DPHS know how great the programs are!
I attend classes and work in the CRANE lab on cancer prevention at the University of Miami
My overall career goals are to contribute to literature, implementation, and dissemination of NCD prevention, control, and mitigation strategies in diverse Black communities, particularly in the English-speaking Caribbean.
I wish I would have known more about all of the opportunities we have as UM students, after starting the program I am aware of the abundance of opportunities we have here.
I got the gym, and meditate
